Net Balancing

Based on the actual usage imported from the remote meter reading and the application of the synthetic or enhanced analytical standard load profile procedure SOPTIM NEM balances the operator's system and automatically provides the actual data to all market participants.

Change of Supplier

SOPTIM NEM manages and processes the change of supplier from the point of view of the system operator. The process of change can be conducted by hand or fully automatedly in compliance with the specifications of the German Federal Network Agency according to GPKE and the various EDIFACT formats (UTILMD, CONTRL, APERAK, REQDOC, MSCONS). The creation and dispatch of customer lists, and the processing of surplus/shortage quantities calculations round off the range of services in this area.

Communication and Exchange of Data

For the processing of communication with partners in the market and the data exchange processes that go with it SOPTIM NEM is linked to SOPTIM EDI on database level. All communication processes and their parameterizing and logging are routed centrally over this EDIFACT server.

Forecasts

The forecast procedure included in SOPTIM NEM determines the expected transmission losses, and any differences in energy to the standard load profile procedure and forwards them to procurement. At the same time the forecasts create the energetic basis for the calculation of the expected costs and revenues.

Controlling

Based on the predefined conditions for net access SOPTIM NEM calculates the actual and expected costs for net access in the upstream system as well as a revenues from the use of the operator's system by the suppliers per voltage level. This also considers net access fees that were avoided.

REA and CHP Reporting

In the area of reporting for REA and CHP SOPTIM NEM compiles the actual values and estimates the future feed-in.

Reporting

With its component Flexible Reporting SOPTIM NEM lets the users create an individual reporting. Not just crucial data for regulation management but also energetic and economic key data can be documented easily.

Integration

For integration into billing systems SOPTIM NEM's integrated important/export of contact data provides the basis for a variable processing of the required exchange of master data. Alternatively solutions can be built using the market interface (UTILMD) or direct links to the billing system. Even if several hundreds of thousands of metering points have to be aligned.

SOPTIM NEM is client-capable and covers the enhanced EDM tasks of distribution system operators.
